Immediate dentures are exactly like the name indicates. These are placed in the mouth immediately after tooth extraction, but then require regular comfort adjustments (at least for the first few months).
Partial dentures are a removable alternative to bridges. Bonded to a metal frame and attached to one’s natural teeth, these are good for filling in gaps where permanent teeth used to be.
